Your role as HR & Recruitment Officer

As an HR & Recruitment Officer, you’re at the heart of our day-to-day operations. You’re the first point of contact: for our Bright Innovators with questions about hours, vacation, compensation, or other administrative matters; for clients regarding invoicing; and for anyone who walks in or calls. You’ll also stay in touch with what’s going on in sales, recruitment, and administration, so you can help build our community.

Specifically, you will be responsible for:

  • The first point of contact for our Bright Innovators regarding general administrative questions.
  • Maintaining and expanding our talent community: You’ll build lasting connections with potential candidates, stay informed about what’s going on in their lives, and establish relationships long before a job opening arises.
  • Administrative management and tracking of hours worked.
  • Please contact the social secretariat with any questions about wages and contracts.
  • Drafting employment contracts for new employees.
  • Preparing and tracking invoices to customers, including tracking approved hours.
  • General reception duties: answering the phone, managing voicemail, scheduling appointments, greeting visitors, and handling day-to-day office operations.
  • Onboarding new employees: helping them get familiar with tracking hours, requesting time off, and other administrative processes.
  • Closely monitoring current developments in sales, recruitment, and administration.
  • Help with content creation and assist in implementing our communication plan for our social media channels.
  • Helping to organize and provide support during corporate events.

Depending on your background and interests, this role has the potential to grow further. So we’re not necessarily looking for someone who can do everything right away, but rather someone who can handle the core responsibilities effectively and help shape how the role evolves.

  • Experience in HR administration or a similar position.
  • Interest in or experience with recruitment using a relationship-oriented approach.
  • An interest in the technical field. You don’t have to be an engineer, but you should have a general understanding of what our Bright Innovators do on the job.
  • Strong communication skills, both over the phone and in writing, in both Dutch and English. German is not required, but it’s a nice plus.
  • An organized and meticulous approach, with an eye for detail.
  • A flexible mindset. No two days are the same in this role.
